Answering Your Billing Questions

Our goal is to give excellent customer service when you have questions about your hospital bill.  


Billing Process

  • Hospital services are documented and charged throughout a patient's inpatient or outpatient stay according to a doctor's order

  • We send your bill to the insurance company you provided when you checked into the hospital.

  • In the end, it is up to you to pay for the services you use.

  • It is up to you to know about any services your insurance does not pay for, benefits, co-payments and deductibles.

  • It is our policy to copy your insurance card(s) each time you come to the hospital for services.

  • A detailed hospital bill can be obtained from the hospital's Cashier Office upon the patient asking.

  • If you have questions about your bill while you are in the hospital, please ask a nurse to have a financial counselor or case manager come to your room.

  • If you do not have health insurance, a financial counselor will come to your room.

  • Your billing details will be shared with other providers in order for them to file a claim with your insurance company.

  • Emergency department doctors, anesthesiologists, radiologists, pathologists, and a few other providers file their charges separately from the hospital bill. They are not included in the hospital charges.

Payment Options

  • We accept cash or personal check.

  • We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover Card.

  • If long-term financing is needed, loan choices are available.

  • You can set up a payment plan according to our payment guidelines.

  • If you are uninsured, you will receive a 20% discount on your hospital bill if you pay within 60 days of service. If you are unable to pay your balance within 60 days, you can receive a 10% discount if you set up payment arrangements to pay your bill within six months.
