Heart Failure Class

This class is taught by a registered nurse and dietitian. The following topics are discussed:

• causes of heart failure

• low salt diet

• being active

• eating out guidelines

• reading food labels

• heart failure pills

• living with heart failure

• program for people with heart failure (or caregivers)

Heart Failure Support Group 

This support group is give people with heart failure a chance to talk with others facing the same issues. Each meeting a nurse will discuss a topic concerning heart failure. The program is designed for those with health failure or have heart problems that increase their chances of heart failure.

Heart failure can be hard to go through alone without the support of people going through the same thing. Family members and caregivers may also attend.

Note - It is recommended that people interested in the Heart Failure Support Group first attend the Heart Failure Class.
