Using X-Rays and Computer Technology for Clearer Results
A CT Scan is a procedure which uses x-rays combined with computer technology to provide a clear picture of bones, organs and soft tissues inside the body.
The CT exam involves x-ray pictures or “slices” take while the CT scanner rotates around the body part being imaged. The computer then puts the pictures together on a computer monitor. The images can provide many different “views” that x-rays alone cannot. The images are then read by a radiologist (doctor who specializes in radiological medicine) and then a report is made and sent to your physician.
Exams Include:
CT Head, Chest, Abdomen and Pelvis, Spine
CT Calcium Scoring for heart disease risk
CT Biopsies for lung, liver and various other cancers
