Diabetes Screenings
Diabetes is a life-long disease marked by high levels of sugar (glucose) in the blood. A diabetes screen is administered in two different ways. Both measure the amount of glucose in your blood. The first is blood draw as part of a full chemistry panel. The second is a simple finger stick. Results of the finger stick test are immediate.
Diabetes Screenings are administered by Trinity Health Partners.

Test Results
If you took a blood chemistry panel, the results from your diabetes (blood sugar) screen will be mailed to you within a week following the blood draw. You will be notified if any of your scores fall outside the normal range, which indicate you may be at risk. If you took a simple finger stick test, your results will be immediate.
Participants whose test results indicate they may be at risk are encouraged to visit their doctor. Your test results are confidential information and are only sent to you. Your doctor does not receive a copy of your test results. The American Diabetes Association recommends that pre-meal blood sugar levels fall in the range of 80 to 120 mg/dL and bedtime blood levels fall in the range of 100 to 140 mg/dL.
