Diagnostic Radiology is an x-ray test that is non-invasive and helps physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions. It uses radiation to produce pictures of the inside of the body. X-rays are the oldest and most often used of all radiologic technologies. X-rays are used in a variety of applications. They can detect broken bones, foreign objects, soft tissues of bones, cancer of the bones, arthritis, abnormal bone growths, guide for use with surgical procedures, and many other applications.

Diagnostic Radiology performs a vast amount of diagnostic tests including:

• General x-rays of every part of the body

• Upper GI tract

• Lower GI tract

• Joints (Arthrography)

• Urinary Tract (kidneys and bladder)

• Myelography (Imaging of the spinal cord and canal)

• Histerosalpingography (Imaging of the uterus and ovaries)
