FAQ About 3D & 4D Imaging

What is Four-dimensional (4D) ultrasound?
4D ultrasound is the latest in ultrasound technology. The ultrasound takes the three dimensional images and ads time. The 4th dimension allows you to see your little one in movement.

Will you provide measurements of the baby or establish a due date?
No. We are an optional service and do not replace any element of your prenatal care. You must be under the care of a physician to use our service, and we urge you to consult your health care provider if you have any concerns about your pregnancy.

Will I be able to leave with package materials I purchased?
Absolutely, all the images and video clips are stored onto a CD so that you may print copies or email to other family or friends. You will also receive 4-6 photos to cherish for a lifetime.

Should I make an appointment in advance?
Yes, we schedule by appointment only. We do not accept walk -ins. Please call to schedule an appointment several day/weeks in advance. Call for your appointment today! 515.574.6539.

How Many Weeks Do You Have To Be For a 3D/4D Ultrasound Session?
When you become 24 weeks your baby starts developing a fat layer that fills in their features so you will see more facial detail at that time. Many soon-to-be parents choose to come in twice or more to see their baby at various stages. We recommend the best time to visit us is 24-36 weeks into your pregnancy. We do see women up to full term, but with variable results. More fat does create pudgy images, but the baby gets increasingly crowded and may hide. An ultrasound image depends upon the baby's position, size and, so we cannot guarantee images quality due to those factors.

What Form Of Payment Can I Use For My Wee See Image?
We accept Cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Debit cards and checks.

Do you accept medical insurance for 3D/4D imaging?
We do not accept medical insurance as we are supplemental care. Please contact your physician if you have any questions about insurance or ultrasound scans.

Can I Have My Family And Friends With Me?
Yes, we welcome your family and friends. However, there is limited room, so that you can fully enjoy the experience we ask you limit it to two adults.

Is ultrasound safe?
Yes, in the 35 years of use in medicine, there has never been a harmful effect shown by the use of ultrasound. Many women have multiple ultrasounds during their pregnancy with no negative effect on the baby.
