What you need to know about paying for your healthcare services.

Health insurance billing
As a courtesy to you, Trinity Regional Medical Center will bill all your insurance providers, given  you submit all the necessary information. You are responsible for any charges remaining unpaid by your insurance company. This includes non-covered services, co-payments and deductibles, and co-insurances. It is your responsibility to be aware of any exclusions, benefits, co-payments and deductibles outlined in your insurance plan. Trinity has a Financial Advocate that can help with understanding your insurance coverage. Co-payments and deductibles are due before leaving the hospital.

If your insurance does not pay within 60 days, you will be billed for the full balance. If you feel that your insurance company should have paid your bill, you should contact your insurance company or our customer service center at (888) 343-4165.

You may also be responsible for services from other providers. These may include physicians, anesthesiologists, radiologists and pathologists. We will share your billing information with those providers so that they can file with your insurance company directly.
 

Pre-registration
If you are scheduled for services at Trinity, we encourage you to pre-register for those services. Pre-registration will allow us to verify your insurance coverage, identify the amount you will owe  and allow us to help you in meeting your financial needs. On the day of your service, you will check be directed to your department of service.

Patient responsibility
You will need to present your insurance card(s) at the time of service. Your card(s) will be copied to ensure that the correct information is available for insurance processing.

Prompt payment
If you are uninsured, you will receive a 20% discount on your hospital bill if you pay within 60 days of service. If you are unable to pay your balance within 60 days, you can receive a 10% discount if you set up payment arrangements to pay your bill within six months.

What if I can’t pay my hospital bill?
Medical bills are often unplanned and can be difficult to understand or pay. Trinity has Financial Advocates who can help. Our Financial Advocates are professionally trained to help with your financial questions.
