It's All About How You Live

Hospice is not about how you die. It's about how you live. Hospice doesn't give us the power to shorten or prolong life, just the power to live it as we choose - to be at home, if we wish, to be pain-free, to be comforted and cared for when we can no longer be cured.

Hospice is a holistic approach - it addresses emotional, social, spiritual, and practical aspects of life, in addition to physical and medical issues. Hospice is a choice for a person who has an illness or condition that is no longer responding to medical treatment, or a person whose physical conditions are unlikely to benefit from available medical care and continued treatment will prolong suffering or poor quality of life.

Trinity Hospice is committed to bringing the best in end-of-life care to people in our community.

Trinity Hospice, a department of UnityPoint Health - Trinity began providing Hospice services on a volunteer basis in 1983. In 1995, Medicare certification was obtained which enabled hospice care under the Medicare benefit. We are a non-profit community based organization dedicated to meeting the end-of-life needs of people within a 50 mile radius of Fort Dodge.

Patients and families can expect professional, quality hospice care that enhances life. Trinity Hospice meets state and federal requirements.
